Mission Statement

The District 3 Amateur Radio Group (D3ARG) is a Group of Amateur Radio Operators in Iowa Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) District 3. D3ARG is focused on Planning, Training, Testing, and Deployment of communications resources in an emergency.

ARES District 3

Iowa ARES District 3 is made up of a collection of counties including: Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Sac, Sioux, and Woodbury. The ARES representatives of the District include a District Emergency Coordinator, Assistant Emergency Coordinator, and Emergency Coordinators for each county in the district.

Membership

Membership of D3ARG is open to any and all Amateur Radio Operators and individuals interested in joining the hobby in the district. Membership in Amateur Radio Emergency Services, or the Amateur Radio Relay League is encouraged but not required. A valid Amateur Radio License is not required but is encouraged.
